South Kesteven District Council Selects Unit4 ERP Financials and FP&A to Underpin Effective Financial Management and Financial Control
London, May, 17, 2023 -- Unit4, a leader in enterprise cloud applications for people-centric organizations, today announced that South Kesteven District Council has selected Unit4 Financials, and FP&A to meet the Council’s financial management needs, with high volume transactional activities, and complex forecasting requirements.
South Kesteven is a local government district in Lincolnshire, England, forming part of the traditional Kesteven division of the county. It covers a population of 145,000 made up of Bourne, Grantham, Market Deeping, and Stamford.
A key factor of successful financial management for the Council is the provision of real-time quality information to enable managers to make informed decisions, in order to effectively manage budgets. Therefore, the Council was looking for a modern, integrated system that would allow for comprehensive financial planning and analysis. Previously, managers were provided with high-level information in spreadsheets to help with setting budgets, with no option to drill down to transactional information. The process was time-consuming and reduced the time available to scrutinize the budgetary information produced.
With Unit4 ERP Financials and FP&A, South Kesteven District Council can expect benefits including:
- Increased speed and accuracy, real-time access, and deeper insight into operational and financial information for informed decision making
- Access to data analytics and trend analysis
- The ability to model future year budgetary information for financial planning
- Automation to reduce the time spent on administrative tasks
- Visualizing data for reporting purposes, through the use of dashboards and graphs
- The ability to drill down to identify root causes and dependencies for financial planning
- Integrated asset tracking with accounting, procurement, and other financial functions for full financial control and visibility
Unit4 has been helping public sector organizations to increase citizen value for many years, and understands the need for efficiency, predictability, and to effectively plan for the future. South Kesteven District Council is among more than 100 councils in the UK which have recently selected Unit4, including a third of English local authorities, including St.Helen’s Borough Council, Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils, and North Warwickshire Borough Council.
